Production priorities

All Doug's™ embroidery is done with the highest quality rayon thread — a thread made from wood pulp or cotton. Even though a high level of production is needed during manufacturing, it's vastly better than virgin polyester.

All products are strictly made using certified, high quality materials. Various biodegradable and recycled materials are used, but Doug's™ often prioritises quality product, manufacturer responsibility and worker well-being.

Embroidery thread — all embroidery thread and screen printing inks are certified with Oeko-Tex 100®. The certification according to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex® is considered one of the most important seals of approval for textiles.

Garments — every garment is certified with the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and by the Fair Labour Association.

Labels, hang tags — Doug's™ labels, hang tags and custom equivalents are certified with Oeko-Tex 100 and by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®).

Patch fabric — our fabrics are certififed with Oeko-Tex 100® and ISO 14001:2015®. ISO 14001:2015® is a basic environmental management certification to assess current environmental performance, and enhance future performance.

Suppliers — If Doug's™ works with other companies, they must adhere to strict management and factory certifications. In the case of overseas manufacturing, all suppliers be certified by the Fair Labour Association® and prove BSCI® reporting.

Orders are shipped in compostable mailers or cardboard boxes. All packing tape is made from paper and has a plastic-free, starch-based adhesive.
